Job summary

Experis Technology Group is seeking a Receiving Inspection Technician for a manufacturing organization in San Jose, CA. You will join the Site Quality team supporting day-to-day RI activities within the CMD.

The role requires strong attention to detail, reliable follow-through, and clear communication to align with the organization. You'll review docs, verify material identity, perform visual and basic measurements, and help maintain records and RI metrics while supporting process improvements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and record inspection results accurately.
• Ability to use basic computer applications and learn site systems.
• Ability to complete required training and follow established procedures.
• Receiving, warehouse, manufacturing, inspection, or quality experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase orders, packing slips, certificates, drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions to confirm requirements before inspection.
• Verify incoming material identity, quantity, labeling, condition, and required documentation using approved methods.
• Perform visual and basic measurement inspections using approved tools and procedures, then record results accurately in the applicable system.
• Identify, label, and segregate damaged, discrepant, or nonconforming materials; elevate discrepancies or suspected nonconformances for review.
• Support the Receiving Inspection process by maintaining organized records, tracking RI metrics, and assisting with approved process improvement actions as assigned.
