The role requires meticulous visual and physical inspections using calipers, MPI, PT, Gauss gauges and hardness/tensile testing. The position operates Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM and may require weekends or overtime.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum: high school diploma and two years of training or related experience in Metallurgical Laboratory, Quality Inspection, NDT, or similar field using quality inspection/qualification equipment.
• Required: Basic computer proficiency.
• Self-starter capable of working independently under engineering supervision.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs in a safe manner.
• Willing to train others once proficient.

Includes verifying against standards, specifications, condition of supply and internal documentation.Job DescriptionShift: Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30pmKey Accountabilities:The Receiving Inspection Technician must have a high level of attention to detail and be quality oriented. Various techniques used to perform receiving inspection audits include: Visual Inspection, Casting Calipers, Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Gauss Gages, Dye Penetrant Inspection (PT), Hardness Testing, and Tensile Testing. The incumbent will also be expected to section components using an abrasive cut-off saw to prepare metallurgical specimens. The incumbent will be required to follow written and verbal instructions from engineers, supervisors, and material planners. The Receiving Inspection Technician must be capable of communicating with all levels of employees found in a professional lab environment, including supervisors, managers, and engineers. The incumbent must be team oriented, self-motivated and be flexible to working weekends and overtime when needed. Incumbent will also be responsible for housekeeping and equipment upkeep of the various receiving inspection areas.The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
