Job Description

EBAD seeks a Receiving Inspection CMM Operator. This position is located in Simsbury, CT.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective verification of products and communicate findings related to verification.
  • Use a Hexagon CMM to perform inspection of components and assemblies as part of receiving inspection.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain a CMM and accessories.
  • Create new programs as needed, typically for machined components.
  • Maintain accurate, neat, and complete inspection records.
  • Keep work area organized and clean; follow all established safety guidelines.
  • Work within a team to achieve company and department goals.
  • Perform additional duties related to specific area assignments when requested.
Requirements:

The successful candidate must have graduated from High School or equivalent G.E.D. and have 5+ years of experience inspecting mechanical components in an aerospace or defense-related company.

Required experience includes:

  • Utilizing standard inspection tools and equipment including calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, CMM, and optical systems.
  • Programming a CMM using PC-DMIS.
  • Knowledge of ISO/AS procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Understanding military specifications and industry standards.
  • Effective communication and interaction with all levels of management.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Basic PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with Lean manufacturing is a plus. Significant experience working directly with internal/external customers and suppliers is also preferred.
