Job summary

MAC.BID is seeking a Receiving/Forklift Associate in Gastonia, NC. You will unload trucks, use pallet jacks and forklifts, and work with the Facilities Team to move merchandise quickly and safely.

This full-time, hourly role requires forklift certification (or in-house training), the ability to pass drug tests, and the stamina to stand and lift up to 50 lb. We offer weekly pay, benefits after 60 days, and 5 days PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of pre-employment drug test.
• Forklift certification or in-house training/certification.
• On-site availability; 8-hour shifts; weekend work as needed.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet live trailers at the dock to unload quickly, avoiding retention fees.
• Use pallet jacks and fork trucks to unload product.
• Safely drive a forklift according to policy and the Safety Coordinator.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

RECEIVING/FORKLIFT ASSOCIATE

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Hourly Non-Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:

MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products, then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Receiving Team employs heavy equipment to unload trucks safely and quickly. This position reports to the Facilities Team Lead.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Meet live trailers at the dock to unload quickly, avoiding retentionfees
• Use pallet jacks and fork trucks to unload product
• Safely drive a forklift according to policy and the Safety Coordinator
• Perform other tasks as assigned bymanagement

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and random drug tests duringemployment
• Must be forklift certified (or successfully pass in-house training/certification)
• Availability to work on-site. Schedules may vary Monday through Saturday, depending on location, 8-hour shifts with a 30-minute lunch break, hours determined by workload and Management
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds alone, 50 pounds with a team lift
• Must be able to stand and walk for hours at a time
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must be able to follow written directions and companypolicies
