Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to manage the receiving dock, inspect deliveries, and ensure accurate counting and labeling of materials. You will enter data into the inventory system, coordinate storage, and support efficient product flow while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role requires adherence to safety policies, willingness to work overtime, and ability to lift moderate weights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 6-12 months of warehouse and/or distribution work experience.
• Must be able to work the scheduled, assigned times and required overtime for the position.
• Able to stand, walk, reach and lift repeatedly throughout shift.
• Able to lift and stack product between 10-35 pounds and up to 80 pounds occasionally throughout shift.
• Able to work in multi-temperature environments, i.e. cooler, freezer and dry.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the receiving dock area to receive, inspect, identify, count and verify quality and labeling of all materials and supplies.
• Complete related documentation and coordinate the storage of supplies.
• Enter information into inventory database and other duties to maintain movement and quality of supplies.
• Ensure safety regulations and quality standards are met while maintaining efficient flow of product.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions immediately.
• Open loading dock doors and prepare area to receive products from tractor-trailers.
• Receive incoming products and verify against the bill of lading; record counts.
• Coordinate and/or unload and transport items to staging areas in warehouse with forklift/pallet jack.
