A local lumber company in Idaho is seeking a responsible individual to deliver materials to customer job sites. You will operate a forklift and ensure a high standard of customer service while loading and unloading heavy materials. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The role requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Job Summary:

This person will be responsible for delivering material to customer job sites. This will include onsite forklift operating, some dropping of lumber orders, and loading & unloading orders with millwork. You must be courteous and professional in communicating with our customers. There will be some building loads for deliveries and maintaining a safe, clean, and well-organized lumber yard; loading and unloading of lumber and/or building supplies, and operating a forklift.

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Load, secure, unload trucks in a safe manner.
• Quickly and accurately check the accuracy after unloading.
• Photo document delivered a load
• Communicate with the dispatcher on any issues
• Operate a forklift or pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Process all damage claims according to store policy and maintain related paperwork.
• Follow up on all damage claims and returns to the Retail Support Center in a timely manner.
• Manage proper maintenance of all company delivery vehicles and equipment.

Qualifications:

• Truck drivers must have valid state‑issued Class B or Class A driver's licenses and a safe driving record.
• Ability to stand for an extended period of time.
• Able to walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to wear a back belt at all times and use proper lifting techniques.
• Able to operate heavy machinery.
• Strong organizational, time management, and project management skills.
• Ability to communicate, relate well, and direct the work of others.
• Ability to solve problems, work independently, and check accuracy.
