Alter Trading Corporation is seeking a Full Time Production role at our Burlington, IA location to handle inbound non-ferrous metals and customer transactions. You will weigh material, enter product details, and issue payments while learning to operate forklifts, balers, and other recycling equipment.

The position emphasizes strong customer service, accurate data entry, and adaptability to a warehouse environment with exposure to the elements.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass Company’s credit check requirement.
• Previous Customer Service Experience, required
• Previous Warehouse Experience, preferred
• Previous Metal Scrap Experience, preferred
• Preferred Experience: Background in non-ferrous (NF) and ferrous metals, shredders, supervisory or leadership roles, inventory management, equipment operation, or operations/team lead/manager positions

Responsibilities

• Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.
• Complete and process customer’s transaction to issue appropriate payment

The Role:

This position identifies and receives inbound non-ferrous metals to be recycled from the general public. This process is done by weighing material, inputting the correct commodity code into the system and then putting the material in its proper location.
