Alter Trading Corporation is seeking a qualified candidate for Admin Production in Woodstock, IL. The role involves receiving inbound used metals, weighing material, inputting commodity codes, and processing transactions at the retail scale.

You will work in a dusty environment and weather-exposed warehouse, with a schedule Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm. Responsibilities include customer service, entering data, issuing payments, and operating equipment such as forklift or balers.

• Customer service experience required.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Previous metal scrap experience preferred.
• Background in NF and ferrous metals, shredders, supervision, or inventory management preferred.

Admin Production Woodstock, Woodstock, IL, US

Salary Range: $18.00 To $21.00 Hourly

This position identifies and receives inbound used metals to be recycled from the general public. This process is done by weighing material, inputting the correct commodity code into the system and then putting the material in its proper location. Because we are the start of the recycling process, the environment is dusty, dirty and subject to the weather. Normal Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm.

JOB SUMMARY

• Provide great customer service at our retail scale by providing prompt service, weighing material and properly inspecting & identifying material.


• Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.


• Complete and process customer’s transaction to issue appropriate payment


• Learn and operate machines (forklift, balers, etc.) to help with the recycling process.


• Work in a warehouse type environment subject to the elements.


• Preferred Experience: Background in non-ferrous (NF) and ferrous metals, shredders, supervisory or leadership roles, inventory management, equipment operation, or operations/team lead/manager positions


• Performs other duties as assigned
