Job description

Position: Receiver at the Grocery 'Vendor Door'

This person will be trained to operate the D.S.D. computer system and will be responsible for checking in vendor merchandise as it enters the store. Primary duties include:

1. Working with the vendor
2. Proofing the order
3. Checking/preparing the invoice
4. Confirming case or unit counts
5. Performing price maintenance
6. Recording damaged merchandise
7. Handling returns
8. Housekeeping in the receiving area
9. Organizing stock in the backroom

Secondary duties may include related activities as required or assigned, including other receiving duties when needed.

Available to work anticipated work schedule: 5 Days, 38-40 hours per week, early AM start and generally, morning to mid-afternoon hours.

Previous Work Experience: Grocery Stocker experience and computer data-entry, keyboard skills preferred, but not required; we will train.

Physical Demands: Repetitive lifting to 30#; occasional lifting to 50#.

Other Work Considerations: Conscientious and detail-oriented; able to work with minimal supervision; organized; reliable, dependable, and rarely absent.
