Job description

Summary:

Responsible for receipt of all receipts and shipments from the Company. Receives material within the system, ensuring all required documentation is present and counts are accurate. Ensures customer orders are shipped on-time and error-free. Communicates any issues with missed shipments internally to alert customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies. Reports Near Misses and hazards, wears PPE, and encourages safety practices.
• Completes all paperwork related to shipments and receipts.
• Uses RF scan gun to complete inventory transactions for receiving goods and processing shipments.
• Properly stores or prepares shipments according to procedures.
• Inspects and verifies quality and quantity of received goods using prescribed criteria.
• Prepares materials for outbound shipment to Sub-Contractors as needed.
• Checks labels on containers match the material described on packing slips and SAP.
• Loads and unloads trucks, ensuring trailer wheels are checked and safe before loading.
• Ensures carrier's Bill of Lading matches the freight being delivered; notes any transit damages on BOL/Delivery Receipt.
• Assists in unloading freight and storing materials.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
