Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a detail‑oriented Receiving Clerk for its solar manufacturing team in Tolleson, AZ. You will receive, inspect, and document incoming materials, ensuring accurate records and timely entry into our inventory systems.

Responsibilities include coordinating with procurement, production, and logistics; maintaining logs, and supporting cycle counts while upholding safety and quality standards. Prior forklift experience and proficiency with ERP software are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
  • Proven experience in receiving, shipping, or inventory control, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, ERP software).
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
  • Physical ability to lift and move materials (25-50 lbs) and operate warehouse equipment.

  • Document discrepancies or damaged items and communicate with suppliers and internal departments.
  • Inventory Management: Label and store materials; maintain accurate records in the system; assist in cycle counts and audits.
  • Documentation and Record Keeping: Verify and process packing slips, bills of lading, invoices; update logs and databases.
  • Coordination And Communication: Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams; coordinate with shipping providers; respond to inquiries.
  • Compliance And Safety: Follow policies and safety protocols; maintain clean and safe work environment; adhere to quality standards.

We are seeking a detail oriented and efficient Receiving Clerk to join our dynamic team in a solar manufacturing company. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming materials, supplies and equipment essential for our manufacturing processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the smooth operation of our supply chain and production activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Receipt and Inspection:
  • Receive incoming shipments of materials and supplies.
  • Inspect shipments for accuracy, damage and compliance with purchase orders.
  • Document discrepancies or damaged items and communicate with suppliers and internal departments.
Inventory Management
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of received goods in inventory management systems.
  • Assist in cycle counting and inventory audits.
Documentation And Record Keeping
  • Verify and process shipping documents such as packing slips, bills of lading, and invoices.
  • Update and maintain receiving logs and databases.
  • Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, shortages, and delivery issues.
Coordination And Communication
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Coordinate with shipping and logistics providers as needed.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding received goods and materials.
Compliance And Safety
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to quality standards to support solar manufacturing production goals.
Qualifications

The range for this position is $23.75 hourly rate - $24.88 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
