Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its solar manufacturing operations.

The role supports the maintenance team to ensure reliable operation of equipment, systems, and facilities, with emphasis on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimize downtime. Entry-level candidates are welcome, with a focus on safety, team collaboration, and hands-on problem solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Vocational training or certifications in maintenance are a plus.
• Experience in maintenance, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred. Entry-level candidates are also considered.
• Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and equipment used in maintenance activities.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication skills required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and willingness to work in various weather conditions.

Purpose of the Position:

Work Hours:

• Standard Hours (Monday-Friday, Core Business Hours)
• Flexible hours required to support 24 hour on-call as well as potential weekend/evenings/holiday operations and emergency response requirements.

The range for this position is $23.00hourly rate - $35.00 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
