Description

The employee will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of all warehouse duties. Responsibilities include receiving and shipping inbound and outbound materials and packages. The employee must also adhere to The Popcorn Factory's policies and procedures.

SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS: Monday—Friday, 1st Shift 6:00 am - 2:00 pm (Extended hours and some Saturdays may be required during Peak Season)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Coordinate schedules with carriers and oversee inbound items to ensure compliance with our inbound requirements.
2. Unload merchandise from delivery trucks and verify shipment contents against purchase orders.
3. Inspect incoming goods for damages or discrepancies and report issues to the appropriate department.
4. Use warehouse management systems to accurately record and track inventory as received and stored.
5. Label and allocate received items to designated storage areas.
6. Coordinate with the purchasing department to reconcile and order quantities, resolving shipment discrepancies.
7. Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports of all receiving activities, including discrepancies, damages, and inventory levels.
8. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
9. Handle packages, review contents, and deliver products to the correct department. Assist team members as needed.
10. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment.
11. Ensure procedures are followed, and effective communication is maintained with other departments involved in the process.

Additional considerations:

• Work involves equipment, people, and information, requiring the ability to work under pressure, maintain a positive attitude, meet deadlines, and perform as part of a team.
• Most work is performed in a warehouse environment with proximity to moving parts and dense storage.

Physical Demands:

• Stand for long periods, handle controls, communicate verbally, reach with hands and arms, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Safety/Hazards:

• Follow safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Understand and teach safety standards.

Follow GMPs, equipment-specific procedures, FIFO/FEFO for finished goods, allergen guidelines, record product traceability, and communicate food safety and quality issues to QA personnel.

The salary range is $18.50/hour, depending on experience and other factors.

• Computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Excel)
• Good written and verbal communication skills; bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
• Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping/warehousing
• FLO experience (Stand Up)
• RF scanning equipment knowledge
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to lift 50-75 pounds regularly
