Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Receiving Associate to join our on-site team. You will receive, count, store items, and record data using company software while coordinating with vendors and purchasing to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in similar roles.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with Oracle or sales order software preferred.
• Knowledge of construction/industrial products helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receives, counts and stores items.
• Records receiving data using computer/software.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.
• Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.
• Delivers products to designated areas.
• Tracks shortages with Purchasing for late deliveries.
• Files purchase orders per policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

A Receiving Associate at White Cap…

• Receives, counts and stores items.
• Records receiving data using a computer and company software.
• Packs, unpacks, and marks stock items properly and accurately.
• Identifies incorrect or short shipped items and notifies supervisor.
• Communicates with shipping vendors to resolve delivery issues.
• Delivers products, supplies and equipment to the correct designated area.
• Works closely with purchasing to track shortages for late/slow delivery.
• Files purchase orders correctly based on company policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a forklift.
• Experience with sales order computer software, preferably Oracle.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.
