Job summary

Dollamur Sport Surfaces is seeking a Receiving Associate for 1st shift to support inbound deliveries and daily logistics tasks. You will unload, verify, and store goods, document discrepancies, and help move materials using forklifts or dollies.

• Receive and sign for deliveries from vendors.
• Unload shipments and transfer inventory to storage areas.
• Match packing lists with BOL/PO and note discrepancies.
• Perform checks on materials for sizing, weight, and color per spec.
• Move items using dollies or forklift as needed; deliver to recipients.

Receiving Associate - 1st shift – LARGE box

The Receiving Associate’s primary responsibility is to assist with incoming deliveries, unloading & storing received items and other daily operational tasks for the Logistics Department.

• Accepts and signs for deliveries from vendors.
• Performs and/or assists with unloading shipments from delivery vehicles. Including receiving and transferring inventory to and from the offsite storage facility.
• Compares packing list to Bill of Lading (BOL) and Purchase Order (PO) to ensure all match in product and quantity. Document concisely any discrepancies.
• Performs spot checks by opening packaging of raw materials upon unloading to verify contents including sizing, weights, units of measure (UOM), and coloration according to specification.
• Count product and compare to packing list to ensure all items are accounted for. Ensure proper use of (UOM) e.g., Roll, Case, Each, etc. are in-agreement across all reference documents.
• Quarantine product that does not meet specifications and alert Purchasing of issue/problem.
• Contacts Purchasing to help resolve shipment discrepancies.
• Alerts recipients of incoming shipment and delivers package(s) to them in a timely manner.
• Uses dollies, forklifts, or other means to transport shipments from loading dock to stock or delivery areas.
• Stores, restocks, and shelves delivery items as necessary or directed.
• Processes returns for any defective or incorrect items.
• Support Logistics Department by assisting shipping team and performing additional tasking as demanded by season.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience desired
• Self-starter; must be willing to work in a team environment.
• Willing to work overtime and/or some weekends as required.
• Experience working in an ambient temperature manufacturing environment a plus.
• Must be able to work on your feet, bend, stoop, and lift consistently for all scheduled hours.
• Must be able to manipulate and move material with assistance weighing up to 90 lbs. by either rolling, lifting, or using a hand cart.
• Forklift experience is very desirable.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Must be able to read and understand spoken English.
• High attention to detail, ability to solve straight forward problems with a few concrete variables.
• Must possess hand-eye coordination necessary to operate machines and perform essential duties.
• Experience using measuring and cutting tools a plus
• Must be comfortable completing tasks alone or as part of a team.
• This position will function in a manufacturing environment to fulfill essential duties. This role will regularly be required to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, walk, climb stairs.
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, and smoke may occur.
• Exposure to forklift traffic, sharp tools & objects, and moving mechanical parts.
