Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co. is looking for a Receiving Associate at our Evansville branch to accurately receive, stock and manage warehouse inventory. The role emphasizes attention to detail, reliable attendance and teamwork in a non-climate controlled environment.

You will review shipping manifests, enter receipt data into the ERP system, operate forklifts and hand trucks, and help maintain a safe, organized warehouse space while serving internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of prior warehouse experience.
• Experience with RF scanners preferred; forklift experience required.
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service.
• Dependable attendance with the ability to multi-task and maintain attention to detail.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a non-climate controlled environment.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Review shipping manifests and cross-check received inventory for accuracy.
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation per procedures.
• Enter receipt information into the ERP system.
• Sort and stock inventory according to WMS directions.
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the warehouse inventory system.
• Load/unload trucks, move materials, and stage products as needed.
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts safely.
• Keep the warehouse space clean and safe for team members and customers.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

• Review shipping manifests and cross-check received inventory to ensure accuracy
• Resolve discrepancies and maintain necessary documentation according to standard procedures
• Accurately enter receipt information into the ERP system
• Sort and stock inventory according to directions from the WMS System
• Maintain the integrity and accuracy of the warehouse inventory system
• Load and unload trucks, move materials, and stage products as needed
• Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts safely within the warehouse environment
• Assist in maintaining a clean and safe warehouse space accessible to team members and customers

OUR MUST HAVES:

• Motivation to train and learn new skills
• Physical stamina to stand and walk for the entire shift, lift up to 50 lbs routinely, and occasionally more with assistance
• Proficient in basic computer operations and able to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
