Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Warehouse Associate in Winder, GA. The role is on-site, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime. Pay is $16.00 per hour.

Responsibilities include receiving goods, data entry into the inventory system, verifying deliveries, labeling, and maintaining safety in a fast-paced warehouse. Must have a HS diploma/GED and 1–2 years of related experience; basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and verify Bill of Lading and check accuracy.
• Enter PO, pallet count, date, carrier, and product count in the inventory system.
• Verify products against packing slips and link to warehouse locations.
• Attach pallet labels and ensure product identification and tracking.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Troubleshoot invoice/PO issues using the iSeries system.

Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:45pm occasional mandatory weekends and overtime 6:00am-4:45pm
$16.00/HR

Essential Functions

• Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
• Receives Bill of Lading from the driver and visually checks for accuracy.
• Enters in purchase order number, number of pallets, date of receipt, carrier, and product count into the computerized inventory system.
• Using the packing slip or invoice, breaks down delivery as specified and checks against packing slip by highlighting the quantity and title for accuracy of delivery.
• Verifies product against packing slip or invoice, scans (pallet/case label) license plate (LPN) into system to link product with location of product in the warehouse.
• Weights, measures length, width, depth of the product and enters the information into the inventory system.
• Verifies purchase order number, ISBN number, quantity of product received for accuracy in the inventory system.
• Attaches (pallet/case label) license plate sticker to the bottom right corner on both sides of the pallet for product identification for the equipment operators and tracking purposes.
• Must be able to follow safety rules for personal protection and the protection of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Troubleshoots problems with invoice or purchase orders by utilizing the iSeries system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of computerized inventory control system preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand up to 8-10 hours in a day.
• Must be able to walk 8-10 hours per day.
• Will occasionally climb.
• Will occasionally use pallet jacks or powered equipment to move pallets of product.
• Will frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.
• Will frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.
• Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
• Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping and/or fine hand manipulation.
• Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to stand; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.
• Must be able to wear gloves occasionally.

Language Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, in English.
• Ability to speak effectively with customers and employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

• Ability to calculate basic math (subtraction, multiplication and addition)

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form.

Work Environment

• The work performed is in a warehouse environment
• The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
