Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a Full-time General Warehouse Worker in Winder, GA to pack and ship ecommerce orders in a climate-controlled facility. Shift is Mon-Fri 4:15pm–1:00am with occasional mandatory overtime including some Saturdays.

The role uses an Order Management System and voice-picking technology to process orders accurately, scan items, and label shipments while maintaining safety and efficiency. Benefits start on day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 months of order pulling experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with a voice picking system.

Responsibilities

• Pack books and ship ecommerce orders following standard procedures.
• Log onto Order Management System for each order.
• Scan items and produce shipping labels.
• Pack orders in appropriate packaging.
• Push all packages along the conveyor line.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Summary

Pack book and ship ecommerce orders according to order specification list with a level of accuracy and productivity by following standard procedures to achieve an acceptable performance level.

Essential Functions:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

• Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
• Receive constructive performance feedback
• Create a package for each order
• Use the computer to log onto Order Management System and proper process by order type.
• Scan the books/items and produce a shipping label.
• Pack the order in the appropriate package.
• Scan shipping label to close the order.
• Push all packages on the conveyor line
• Follow safety rules for personal safety and the safety of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Comprehend verbal directions and communicate with team members in a team environment.

Non-Essential Functi sually identify by inspecting books for damaged product and place in designated area.

• Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-3 months of order pulling experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and distribution experience may be substituted.
• Must be able to interact with voice picking system

Physical Requirements:

• Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping, and/or fine hand manipulation.
• Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Language Skills:

• Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English.
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add and subtract basic math

Reasoning ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

• The work performed is in a distribution environment
