Job summary

ReaderLink is seeking a warehouse associate to support order fulfillment in a fast-paced distribution environment. The successful candidate will induct and pack products, verify containers, and move boxes along the conveyor line while rotating between stations.

Attention to detail and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions are essential. This role requires standing for long periods and communicating with team members to ensure accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1-3 months of order pulling experience preferred or equivalent distribution experience.

Responsibilities

• Induct and pack product and verify assigned product to the correct container.
• Verify all boxes using computer or handheld device and push boxes on the conveyor line.
• Rotate between induction, packing and box making stations.
• Replace labels/ribbons on label machines and reconcile missing units to complete the wave in pick zones.
• Follow safety rules and maintain a clean, safe work environment; communicate effectively with teammates.

Essential Functions:

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

• Regular, reliable attendance is required as work cannot be performed remotely.
• Receive constructive performance feedback
• Induct and pack product.
• Verify assigned product to the correct container.
• Verify all boxes using computer or hand held device
• Push all boxes on the conveyor line
• Rotate between induction, packing and box making stations.
• Replace or change labels/ribbons on the label machines.
• Reconcile missing units to complete the product wave in the pick zones.
• Process damages, run off and no need product back into inventory.
• Follow safety rules for personal safety and the safety of others; including maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
• Comprehend verbal directions and communicate with team members in a team environment.
• Maintain a minimum of 99.80% accuracy every week
• Visually identify by inspecting books for damaged product and place in designated area.

Non-Essential Functions:

• Other duties may be assigned, directed or requested.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• 1-3 months of order pulling experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and distribution experience may be substituted.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand up to 8- 10 hours in a day.
• Must be able to listen and follow instructions.
• Must be able to walk up to 6-10 hours.
• Will continuously reach up and out.
• Will occasionally climb stairs
• Will occasionally push/pull up to 25 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Will frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Will occasionally have repetitive foot movement.
• Will frequently have repetitive hand/arm movements for simple reaching, simple and firm grasping, and/or fine hand manipulation.
• Specific vision ability required by this job includes close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Use hands to finger, handle or feel objects; and reach with hands and arms.

Language Skills:

• Ability to print and speak simple sentences well both written and verbally, in English.
• Ability to read a limited number of two and three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to add and subtract basic math

Reasoning Ability:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

Work Environment:

• The work performed is in a distributionenvironment
• The employee is frequently exposed to vibrations and dust and will be working around moving machinery
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment
