La sirena is seeking a detail-oriented Receiver to join our restaurant team in West Palm Beach. The role includes accepting, inspecting, organizing, and storing all food, beverage, and supply deliveries to support inventory accuracy and smooth kitchen operations.

You will monitor temperatures, label and rotate stock, coordinate with chefs and vendors, and help maintain clean, safe receiving areas. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant receiving, food service, inventory, or similar role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to verify products, quantities, and invoices.
• Knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation standards beneficial.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Receiver to join our restaurant team. The Receiver is responsible for accepting, inspecting, organizing, and properly storing all food, beverage, and supply deliveries. This position plays an important role in maintaining inventory accuracy, product quality, and efficient kitchen operations while ensuring that all deliveries meet the restaurant’s standards.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect deliveries of food, beverages, and restaurant supplies for quality, quantity, freshness, and accuracy.
• Compare deliveries against purchase orders and invoices, identifying and reporting any shortages, damages, or discrepancies.
• Properly date, label, rotate, and store products according to food safety standards and restaurant procedures.
• Monitor product temperatures upon delivery and ensure proper handling of perishable items.
• Organize walk-in coolers, freezers, dry storage, and other receiving areas to maintain cleanliness and efficiency.
• Communicate with kitchen management, chefs, vendors, and other team members regarding deliveries, product quality, and inventory needs.
• Maintain accurate receiving and inventory records and assist with inventory counts as needed.
• Keep receiving and storage areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant receiving, food service, inventory, or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately verify products, quantities, and invoices.
• Knowledge of food handling, storage, and sanitation standards is beneficial.
• Ability to safely lift and move boxes, cases, and other deliveries, including items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
