Safeway is seeking a Receiver / Inventory Control Clerk to oversee all Direct Store Delivery (DSD) operations, ensuring accurate receipt, inventory control, and proper stocking. The role involves daily store walks to scan DSD items, identify shortages or surpluses, and work with order writers, night crew, merchandisers, and the File Maintenance Clerk.

Expect collaboration with the Store Director to uphold stock integrity and promotions.

What You Bring To The Table

• Inventory Management Skills: Experience with receiving, tracking, and reconciling inventory, especially in a retail or grocery environment.
• Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills including email, Excel, and familiarity with store portals or inventory systems.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to monitor damaged, expired, or salvageable merchandise and process returns for credit accurately.
• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to maintain cleanliness, security, and order in the backroom and receiving areas.
