ShopRite of Heritage Plaza in South Brunswick, NJ is seeking a Receiver to ensure accurate receiving of deliveries and maintain a clean, organized warehouse. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for long shifts.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Customer-friendly interaction.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Adhere to time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor storage area for cleanliness and readiness for next shift.
• Handle damaged or returns to stock per policy, prioritize refrigerated items.
• Verify invoices for cost, retail and quantity.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Observe safety regulations when operating equipment.
• Rotate and open cartons, follow QA standards.
• Maintain clean, safe work environment.
• Dress per company policy and wear PPE as required.
• Perform duties per HAZCOM and chemical handling guidelines.
• Regularly lift and move merchandise up to 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Unload trucks and transport merchandise.
• Stand at workstation for long durations.
• Check prices and item locations.
• Follow store shrink guidelines.
