Job Description
Receipt Inspector Supervisors shall demonstrate a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Receipt Inspection Supervisor, Quality Assurance Supervisor, or Quality Inspection Manager.
Receipt Inspector Supervisors shall also demonstrate experience as proficient machined parts inspectors that meet or exceed the qualifications and experience identified below.
Required Skills and/or Experience
Typical Trade Tasks
- Visual, dimensional, and generic material identification inspections
- Setup and inspections on precision surface plates
- Functional checks (flexure or spring rate tests)
- Generic material verification using acid spot, magnet, or XRF testing
- Operation of hardness testers, electronic plating thickness gauges, and surface finish analyzers
- Data entry into computer programs, such as Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP)
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in precision measurement and inspection techniques, utilizing instruments such as profilometers, digital height gauges, calipers, screw pitch gauges, variable thread pitch gauges, optical comparators, hardness testers, precision gauge blocks, plug gauges, and dial indicators.
- Experience in machined parts inspection and precision testing.
- Documenting results from inspections and precision testing.
- Inspecting, certification, and control of material to the requirements of NAVSEA Material Control Standard, NAVSEA 0948-LP-045-7010, System Certification Procedure and Criteria Manual for Deep Submergence Systems, NAVSEA SS800-AG-MAN-010/P-9290, and Requirements Manual for Submarine Fly-By-Wire Ship Control Systems, NAVSEA T9044-AD-MAN-010.
- Inspection and L1 certification of Marrota and Vacco reducing manifolds.
- Inspection and L1 certification of fasteners to System 21 and 22 gaging requirements.
- Inspection and L1 certification of welding commodities and mill products.
- Application of MIL-STD-792 marking methods.
- Material identification using acid spot testing, XRF, or LIBBS.
- Trained and certified in OSHA safety regulations.
Degree Requirements
HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- A security clearance.
