Mechanical-Dynamics- is seeking an experienced inspector to verify machined parts and assemblies against blueprints and specifications. You will read drawings, perform in-process, lay-out, and final inspections, and document findings for quality control records.
The role requires 5+ years in a manufacturing environment, proficiency with vernier calipers, micrometers, and indicators, and strong organizational and communication skills to ensure accurate reporting and safe, efficient operations.
Inspect machined parts and assemblies at assembly, inspection, or machining stations to ensure conformance to specifications. They’ll be responsible for documenting and reporting findings. They may be required to inspect first run parts, and set up and try out inspection equipment to ensure accuracy. Will substitute known values, such as dimensions from blueprints into standard formulas and solve for unknown quantities, using knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, or geometry to determine dimensions not specified in blueprints.
