Job summary

EGS, Inc. seeks a Receipt Inspector for its Procurement team at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI. This on-site contract role focuses on receipt, inspection, testing, and documentation of purchased materials to ensure quality and regulatory compliance.

The position requires ANSI Level I–III inspector credentials, extensive nuclear industry experience, and a rigorous attention to detail. Per Diem is available for qualified candidates; US citizenship is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Minimum ten (10) years of relevant nuclear industry experience in quality, warehousing, accounting, materials management, contracts, maintenance, project management, engineering, or related disciplines
• Qualified or certified ANSI Level I, II, or III Inspector
• Minimum four (4) years as ANSI Level II Inspector in materials discipline or six (6) years related inspection experience
• Knowledge of Inventory and Material Control software systems
• Applied MRO materials experience across disciplines, crafts, and manufacturers
• Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance requirements and applicable regulatory standards
• Strong attention to detail with ability to perform inspections and evaluate material compliance

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, examinations, and testing of received materials and their dedication
• Verify materials meet quality, regulatory, and procurement requirements
• Review and approve inspection procedures (ANSI Levels I–III as applicable)
• Provide technical support to Stores and Procurement personnel on receipt inspection activities
• Support oversight of receipt inspection operations and material control processes
• Develop and administer inspection training programs (ANSI Level III)
• Qualify and evaluate ANSI Level I and II inspectors (ANSI Level III)
• Maintain accurate inspection documentation and records
• Support inventory management and warehousing functions as required
• Ensure compliance with nuclear QA standards, regulations, procedures, and industry requirements

EGS seeks qualified applicants for the position of Receipt Inspector in its clients Procurement department based at Palisades Nuclear Power Plant in Covert, MI. Palisades is positioned to become the first nuclear power plant in the United States to restart after previously entering the early stages of decommissioning. Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections, examinations, and testing associated with the receipt and dedication of purchased materials.
• Verify materials comply with applicable quality, regulatory, and procurement requirements.
• Review and approve inspection, examination, and testing procedures (ANSI Level II and III, as applicable).
• Provide technical support to Stores and Procurement personnel regarding receipt inspection activities.

• Knowledge of Inventory and Material Control software systems
• Applied MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) materials experience across disciplines, crafts, and manufacturers
• Knowledge of nuclear quality assurance requirements and applicable regulatory standards.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform inspections and evaluate material compliance.
