Job summary

Last Energy is seeking a Receiving & Inspection Technician to perform incoming inspection and receiving support for components, materials, and equipment. This hands-on role is the first checkpoint ensuring docked items match engineering specifications.

The candidate will use calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify conformance, document certifications, and coordinate with Quality teams to resolve discrepancies.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years in receiving inspection, quality control, or a manufacturing/warehouse/startup environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, purchase orders, and basic GD&T callouts.
  • Working knowledge of standard inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Extremely high attention to detail and ownership over documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move materials as part of routine receiving and staging work.

Responsibilities

  • Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts, raw materials, and equipment against POs, drawings, and specs.
  • Use standard inspection tools to verify dimensional and visual conformance.
  • Verify and record certifications, material test reports, heat/lot numbers, and other traceability documentation for nuclear-grade materials.
  • Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material and route through nonconformance process.
  • Maintain accurate receiving and inspection records in the ERP/MRP system.
  • Stage, label, and kit inspected materials for release to manufacturing, stores, or quarantine.
  • Coordinate with Procurement and Supplier Quality on discrepancies, shortages, and damaged shipments.
  • Support cycle counts, inventory accuracy checks, and basic warehouse organization (5S).
  • Escalate recurring supplier quality issues to the Quality & Engineering teams.

Last Energy is seeking a Receiving & Inspection Technician to perform incoming inspection and receiving support for components, materials, and equipment. This is a hands-on, floor-based role at the front end of our quality system: you will be the first checkpoint ensuring that what comes through our dock matches what our engineers specified.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform receiving inspection on incoming parts, raw materials, and equipment against purchase orders, drawings, and specifications
  • Use standard inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, and basic CMM support) to verify dimensional and visual conformance
  • Verify and record certifications, material test reports, heat/lot numbers, and other traceability documentation for nuclear-grade materials
  • Identify, tag, and document nonconforming material, and route it through the nonconformance process
  • Maintain accurate receiving and inspection records in the ERP/MRP system
  • Stage, label, and kit inspected materials for release to manufacturing, stores, or quarantine

  • Comfort with ERP/MRP systems and basic data entry
  • Extemely high attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership over documentation accuracy
  • Ability to lift and move materials as part of routine receiving and staging work
  • Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus
