Job summary

Medline is seeking a Recall Specialist in Chicago, IL, to support product recall activities by assisting customers, sales reps, and QA personnel. You will coordinate recalled product returns, sub‑recall notifications, and FDA-related inquiries under supervision.

You will maintain recall records, ensure regulatory compliance, and work closely with QA, Operations, and vendors to resolve discrepancies. Strong detail orientation and Microsoft Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience including customer service and documentation management.
• Experience with regulated processes and recall responsibilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain returned product areas for timely processing.
• Issue return labels, RGAs, credits and/or replacements to support recall resolution.
• Respond to recall inquiries by email and phone within 24 hours.
• Coordinate steps related to sub-recall notifications per internal procedures.
• Maintain complete, accurate records for each sub-recall for regulatory compliance.
• Stay current with applicable federal regulations governing product recalls.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance and cross‑functional teams to support recall execution.
• Work with vendors to reconcile returned products and resolve discrepancies.
• Direct Quality Control to identify and secure recalled products to prevent sale.
