Job description

Primary Responsibilities Include:

1. Troubleshooting and repairing underground coal mining equipment.
2. Performing full service on all equipment, diesel or electric.
3. Applying proper troubleshooting techniques on diesel and electric equipment.
4. Visually inspecting and securing the work area for hazards.
5. Ensuring equipment and tools are used safely and responsibly.
6. Working independently and as part of a team.
7. Determining the repair needs for various mining equipment.
8. Interpreting blueprints and schematics.
9. Maintaining work area cleanliness and safety standards.
10. Performing other duties as necessary.

Requirements:

1. Experience with diesel and electrical underground coal mining equipment.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.

• Starting at $20.00/hour through a contracting service for less experienced mechanics.
• Potential to earn up to $23.82/hour.
