Job summary

ORION in Dallas, TX is seeking a hands-on laborer to place and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms for reinforced structures. You will use a variety of tools, tie bars, mark pieces, and help ensure proper placement in verticals and horizontals.

Candidate should have at least one year of concrete finishing experience and be able to work long shifts, including weekends when required. Emphasis on safety and compliance with company policies is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of experience finishing concrete structures.
• Experience with reinforcing bar forming systems is preferred.
• Ability to work long shifts and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads rebar bundles from trucks.
• Carries reinforcing bars in 10, 20, or 40-feet lengths, solo or in a team.
• Places rebar pieces in final destination as instructed.
• Ties reinforcing bars together using wire and pliers.
• Uses paint to mark bars for cutting or tying.
• Ties bars in-place for paving, floors, columns and walls.
• Maintains equipment and tools for long-term use.
• Observes safety rules and reports unsafe conditions to stop work when needed.
• Follows company policies and reports violations promptly.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervision.
