Job summary

Nucor Rebar Fabrication in Dallas, TX is seeking a Rebar Fabricator to bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders. You will operate a shearing machine, bending machine, overhead crane, Fabmatic and power saw to shape and prepare bars for shipment.

The role requires maintaining a safe, clean work area, loading orders onto trailers and applying epoxy touch up with a spray gun when needed.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High school diploma, GED or local/state equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer orders.
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths.
• Operate a bending machine to bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shape.
• Operate overhead crane to move, assemble and select material for fabrication or shipping.
• Operate Fabmatic machine to cut and bend reinforcing steel bars to specified shapes.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
• Operate power saw for cutting reinforcing steel bars to specified lengths.
• Possibly apply epoxy touch up with a spray gun.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; assist teammates as needed.
