Job summary

White Cap is hiring a Fabricator to join our on-site team in Tulsa. You will read drawings and work orders, set up machines, and fabricate parts to meet specifications for construction materials.

The role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance within a growing national distributor serving contractors on major projects.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints, work orders, or drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products is preferred.
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Examine specifications from drawings or blueprints to determine material and machine setup.
• Fabricate work pieces per work order specifications.
• Retrieve materials and perform fabrication duties.
• Inspect finished parts by sight, touch, or gauges to ensure standards.
• Package items for shipping and protect during transport.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Fabricates work pieces as determined by work order specifications.
• Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
• Examines work pieces visually, by touch, or by using a tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
• Packages items for shipping.
• Installs protective devices, to ensure shipped materials do not shift or become damaged during transport.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reading blueprints, work orders or analyzing drawings.
• Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
• Spanish language proficiency.
