Job summary

White Cap is hiring immediately for a Fabricator in Indiana. The role involves examining specifications from drawings or blueprints, fabricating pieces per work orders, and ensuring quality through inspection.

You will also retrieve materials, package items for shipping, and follow safety policies in an on-site setting. Ideal candidates have 0-2 years of fabrication experience and are comfortable working in a team environment with basic knowledge of industrial machinery.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of fabrication experience
• Ability to read drawings or blueprints a plus

Responsibilities

• Examine specifications of customer order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints
• Fabricate work pieces as per work order specifications
• Retrieve correct materials and perform fabrication duties
• Visually inspect work pieces to ensure standards
• Package items for shipping and install protective devices for transport
• Follow safety policies and perform other duties as assigned

• Examines specifications of the customer’s order using drawings, work orders, or blueprints to determine the characteristics of the finished item, materials to be used, and machine setup requirements.
• Fabricates work pieces as determined by work order specifications.
• Retrieves correct materials and performs various fabrication duties.
• Examine work pieces visually, by touch, or by using a tape rule, calipers, or gauges to ensure product meets desired standards.
• Package items for shipping. Installs protective devices, to ensure shipped materials do not shift or become damaged during transport.
• Follows company safety policy and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Generally has 0-2 years of experience.
