Nucor Rebar Fabrication in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a production worker to safely bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in line with customer orders. You will be trained by an experienced mentor to operate all required machinery safely in an outdoor setting.

Candidates should be comfortable with physically demanding work, able to work overtime when needed, and capable of basic math for precise bar measurements. This is a safety-sensitive position with a drug test requirement.

Purpose

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

A rebar production worker at Nucor Rebar Fabrication will bend, cut, bundle, and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customers’ orders. You’ll work with a mentor who will train you on safely using all machinery.

Candidates must be able to work in an outdoor environment. Previous work in construction and landscaping is a huge plus; candidates with previous trades experience tend to be successful in the role and may have a significant opportunity for advancement within the organization.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
• Must be age 18 or over
• Due to the operating conditions of the position, this is a safety-sensitive position, you must pass a drug test, including THC
