Job summary

QXO in Converse, TX is seeking a Production Associate – Rebar to support daily fabrication operations by operating equipment, preparing finished materials to customer specs, and maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced industrial environment.

You will review fabrication sheets, cut, bend, and assemble reinforcing steel, monitor output, organize bundles, and assist with inventory and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in rebar fabrication, steel fabrication, manufacturing, warehouse operations, or construction environments.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate rebar cutting, bending, and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Set up, adjust, and monitor production equipment to meet work orders and specifications.
• Review fabrication sheets, bar lists, and schedules to ensure materials are processed accurately.
• Cut, bend, and fabricate reinforcing steel according to dimensions and project requirements.
• Monitor production output to maintain efficiency and minimize waste.
• Organize completed rebar bundles for staging, loading, shipment or delivery.
• Inspect raw materials prior to processing and verify measurements and fabrication accuracy.
• Identify and report quality concerns or equipment issues promptly.
