QXO is seeking a Rebar Cage Assembler to join its production team in Detroit, MI. You will assemble reinforcing cages, tie components, read shop drawings, and ensure accuracy and quality in a fast-paced production setting.

The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, and strict adherence to safety policies. Prior experience with rebar fabrication or tooling is a plus; teamwork and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assemble reinforcing cages using various rebar configurations per specs.
• Tie, position, secure and assemble rebar components for strong cages.
• Follow drawings, work orders, and production instructions precisely.
• Measure placement, spacing, and dimensions; verify configurations.
• Load, unload, and move materials; operate forklifts/cranes when trained.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and follow safety policies.
