Job summary

Nucor Bethlehem location is hiring for a fabrication associate to cut, bend and load reinforcing steel bars. You will operate shearing, bending, and fabrication machines, move materials with an overhead crane, and prepare orders for shipment in a fast-paced shop environment.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and the ability to pass hair follicle drug screening. OT, weekend shifts and bonuses are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (or local/state equivalent).
• Basic math skills to calculate bar measurements.
• Ability to work legally in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate shearing and bending machines to cut and shape reinforcing steel bars.
• Load, unload, and transport materials using an overhead crane.
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping.
• Perform maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe.
