Job summary

Responsibilities include evaluating medical documentation, discussing barriers with employees and applicants, developing plans and procedures, providing advisory services to management, and generating reports on accommodation requests. Collaboration with supervisors and mission partners is essential.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of HR generalist experience.
• Four or more years of experience performing reasonable accommodation duties.
• Knowledge of Rehab Act, ADAAA and EEOC guidance.
• Experience providing consultant services in reasonable accommodation.
• Technical skills to develop plans, procedures and operating methods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are looking for an HR Reasonable Accommodations Specialist to support a government client.

Job Description

• Ensure accommodations for individuals are in accordance with the Rehab Act of 1973 as amended, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), and guidance from the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).
• Evaluate appropriate medical documentation, meeting with employees and applicants individually to discuss barriers in the work setting and identifying appropriate accommodations, collaborating with supervisors and managers, staff, and relevant mission partners to implement accommodations effectively
• Provide consultant services and/or programs in areas of reasonable accommodation.
• Use technical skill to develop the overall plans, procedures, and operating methods for assignments.
• Develop comprehensive reports regarding reasonable accommodation requests.
• Provide advisory services to management on reasonable accommodation requests per guidance and applicable laws governing reasonable accommodation/disability employment.

Job Requirements

• At least four (4) years of more HR generalist experience.
• At least four (4) years of experience performing reasonable accommodation duties.
