Job summary

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a Supervisor I to manage the Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Unit and supervise a group of professional staff. The role includes program planning, design, implementation, evaluation, and enforcement of complex activities mandated by law and policy.

You will oversee OCR staff acting as liaisons for the Disability Advisory Committee, Harassment Prevention Training, and OCR contract management, plus monitor the RA procurement process

About this Role

The role of the Supervisor I is to manage the Department's Reasonable Accommodation (RA) Unit and oversee a group of professional staff. The incumbent also assists with program planning, design, implementation, evaluation, and enforcement of complex department-wide activities as mandated by federal and state laws, implementing regulations, executive orders, rules, policies, and procedures. The incumbent personally handles the most complex and sensitive assignments. The incumbent will oversee OCR staff acting as liaisons for the Disability Advisory Committee, Harassment Prevention Training, and OCR contract management. Additional duties include monitoring the RA procurement process and completing the annual Workforce Analysis.

Telework Information & Salary Information

Telework: This position is currently eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change consistent with DHCS' Telework Program and Government Code sections 14200 - 14203. Telework is available to California residents, and proof of residency may be required.

Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated office and residence subject to regulations and bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
