Structure Tone, part of the STO Building Group, seeks a Reality Capture & MEP BIM Modeler to join its VDC team in New York, NY. The role supports laser scanning, point-cloud processing, and Scan-to-BIM workflows, assisting with MEP modeling and field verification on active construction sites.

This entry-level position offers exposure to digital coordination, reality capture tech, and career path within VDC, BIM, and related disciplines.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 0–5 years of experience in BIM, CAD, surveying, construction, architecture, or engineering.
• Internship or co-op experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with terrestrial laser scanning and field data collection.
• Develop Revit existing conditions models from point clouds.
• Model architectural, structural, and basic MEP systems.
• Support clash detection and model coordination.
• Perform field verification with laser scanners and tablets.
• Organize project files in ACC and assist with reports.
