Job summary

DLR Group seeks a Reality Capture Specialist Manager in California to lead regional scanning projects and deliver precise 3D models of existing buildings. You will mentor a team, coordinate with project managers, and ensure data quality for design teams and clients.

The role requires advanced software skills (Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Dynamo) and strong knowledge of LOA/LOD standards, with opportunities for ownership in our employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in architecture/engineering or surveying with licensure in progress.
• Minimum 10–12 years in 3D scanning with at least 5 years of PM experience.
• Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Civil3D, InfraWorks, Recap, Navisworks, BIM360/ACC and Dynamo.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor Reality Capture Specialists in your region to drive growth and project success.
• Coordinate with the Reality Capture Team to align priorities and workflows.
• Train staff on advanced scanning techniques and building capture documentation.
• Operate, register, and process data from diverse 3D laser scanning equipment.
• Evaluate building conditions and deliver precise, efficient 3D scans.
• Perform QA checks to ensure compliance with client and firm standards.
• Participate in BIM kickoff meetings and share lessons learned.
• Manage project schedules and budgets to deliver on time and within scope.
