Job summary

Vertex is seeking a Real World Principal Biostatistician to perform advanced statistical analyses in support of Global Medicines Development and Affairs, and Commercial and Strategic Management. The role may lead statistics on clinical trials, real world data investigations, and related ad hoc analyses.

Candidates will develop statistical sections of protocols, SAPs, and DMPs, while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external regulators.

Qualifications

• PhD in Biostatistics or related field with 3+ years' experience, or MS with 6+ years.
• Experience with real-world data, post-marketing studies, or regulatory submissions is advantageous.
• Strong statistical theory and communication skills; ability to collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead scientific and operational statistical work for trials and observational studies.
• Develop and implement design/analysis methods; contribute to SAPs and TFLs.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs and Real World Evidence teams.
• Present findings in SRF meetings and provide expert technical guidance.
