Job summary

Akuna Capital in Chicago is offering a 10-week Akunacademy summer internship for a C# .NET Desktop Software Engineer on the UI team. You will work directly with Traders, Quants, and other Software Engineers to design, build, test, and maintain real-time trading applications.

As an intern you own your project end-to-end, present your work at the program's conclusion, and gain exposure to Windows desktop applications using WinForms/WPF, as well as modern testing and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in a technical field – Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
• Graduating by August 2028
• Major GPA of 3.5 or above
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on day one (incl. F‑1 OPT or STEM)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Traders, Quants, and other Software Engineers to design, build, test, and maintain real-time trading applications
• Take full ownership of your project and present your work at program end
• Design and develop Windows desktop applications in C# .NET with WinForms/WPF
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum development and participate in testing
