Job summary

Akuna Capital in Chicago is seeking a C++ Software Engineer Intern to work on high-performance systems powering our core business operations. You will be embedded on small-to-medium teams that interface with Quant and Trading to focus on a specific domain area and deliver value.

During the 10-week Akunacademy experience, you’ll progress from ideation and design to delivery and maintenance, tackling challenging problems and learning from experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in a technical field (computer science/engineering, math, physics, or equivalent).
• Graduating by August 2028.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. as of the first day of employment, including F-1 students using OPT or STEM.

Responsibilities

• Work on high-performance systems powering Akuna's core business operations.
• Embed on small-to-medium teams interfacing with Quant and Trading to focus on a domain area.
• Ensure systems are reliable, efficient, scalable, and flexible for niche use cases.
• Contribute to the ideation, design, delivery and maintenance of projects over the 10-week Akunacademy experience.
