Job summary

CorSource Technology Group is seeking a Software Programmer 2 for a 12-month contract in the Vancouver area. The role supports the PI Team within JDT, focusing on real-time operations, data historians, and high-availability PI systems.

The ideal candidate will design, implement, and document software solutions, maintain server systems, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure continuous uptime and regulatory compliance. A strong background in C++ and scripting is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business enterprise systems, engineering or a directly-related technical field is preferred.
• 5 years of experience is required with a bachelor’s degree in applicable fields.
• 9 years of experience is required without a degree or applicable degree.
• Experience must include direct work experience in Computer/Information Technology.

Responsibilities

• Maintain server systems and clusters with minimal impact to customers.
• Write operational procedures for operators and staff.
• Provide technical assistance and training to operators and staff.
• Plan and coordinate projects and design software to add operating requirements while preserving uptime.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define programming needs and solutions.
• Develop and implement software solutions to recover from malfunctions and minimize downtime.
• Design and write diagnostic software to help hardware personnel troubleshoot issues.
• Monitor and analyze performance of TTS Systems and implement changes for improvement.
