London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) seeks a Software Engineer to join our development team. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or an engineer with up to two years of professional experience who is passionate about software development and embraces AI-assisted engineering practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
At least 2+ years of professional software development experience outside internship experience.
Proficiency in at least one language: C++, Python, Java, or C#.
Strong fundamentals: object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms, version control (Git), and software testing principles.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and services.
Collaborate with product owners, developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver business value.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
Troubleshoot defects, performance issues, and production problems.
Utilize modern AI-assisted and agentic development tools to improve engineering productivity and software quality.
Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices, automation, testing, and deployment processes.
Learn new technologies and programming languages as required by project needs.
