Job summary

Optimum is a leading connectivity provider in Norwalk, CT, seeking a Security Incident Responder to join ourCyber Defense team. You will monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real time, safeguarding our systems and data across on-prem and cloud environments.

You will work with SIEM/EDR tools, develop detection logic, and coordinate containment and recovery efforts in a 24x7 shift. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and relevant certs are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
• Security certifications such as Security+, GCIH, or GCIA are desirable.
• Minimum 1-3 years' experience in Information Technology and IT Security operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from SIEM, EDR, antivirus, and other tools.
• Analyze and triage alerts, prioritize incidents by severity and impact.
• Coordinate containment, eradication, and recovery with incident responders.
