Job summary

Astranis invites a Software Engineer Intern to join a fast-growing space-telemetry team in Northern California. You will design and extend systems that ingest, store, and query real-time telemetry from our satellite fleet, turning raw signals into actionable insight.

You’ll collaborate with data engineering, space operations, and software teams to build monitoring rules, client libraries, data pipelines, and APIs for both commercial and US government programs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL and time-series databases).
• Familiarity with API design (REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers).

Responsibilities

• Design and build monitoring rules and anomaly detection for telemetry data.
• Develop data pipelines, client libraries, and APIs for the telemetry platform.
• Collaborate with mission operations and engineering to define data needs.
