Job summary

The City of Boulder is seeking a Real-Time Public Safety Analyst to support criminal investigations and incident management from the Public Safety Information Center (PSIC). Under general supervision, you will analyze real-time data, disseminate critical information to officers, and help maintain situational awareness for ongoing incidents.

The role emphasizes careful data handling, rapid reporting, and coordination across CAD, RMS, video systems, and OSINT tools.

Qualifications

Experience with police computer systems (CAD, RMS, NCIC/CCIC).
Proficient in MS Office, word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Able to pass a background check before start date.

Responsibilities

Monitors real-time data systems to support active incidents.
Identifies and disseminates time-sensitive information to officers and supervisors.
Operates video management systems to locate and relay movements.
Performs real-time research using law enforcement databases and OSINT tools.
Creates real-time bulletins and intelligence summaries during critical incidents.
Supports incident command with a common operating picture and stakeholder updates.
Maintains awareness of emerging technologies and assists with PSIC systems.
