Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Software Engineer II to join the Payments Technology group in Tampa. You’ll contribute on an agile team delivering real-time, trusted payments technology at a global scale, with secure, scalable software and strong engineering mentorship.

You’ll work at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, AI-assisted development tools, and data-driven product delivery, solving complex problems that move money worldwide.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 2+ years of applied experience.
• Experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience coding in a modern language and database querying.
• Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with validation of outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
• Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Responsibilities

• Execute standard software solution design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Manage monthly or quarterly deployments and updates.
• Perform PLM and SR activities to maintain stability and performance.
• Support daily production issues with root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Operations to resolve breaks in debit/credit processes.
• Leverage AI-assisted coding tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity.
• Design, develop, code, and troubleshoot with upstream/downstream considerations.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation and value.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to inform decisions on security and stability.
• Learn and apply processes for secure, stable code and systems.
