Job summary

Figureai, based in Sunnyvale, CA, is actively seeking Localization and Mapping Engineers to empower humanoid robots to operate in dynamic real-world environments. The role focuses on real-time localization, state estimation, and multi-sensor data fusion for robust robot perception.

You will work on scalable SLAM pipelines, camera-IMU calibration, and cross-functional collaboration to create reliable software for autonomous humanoids.

Qualifications

• Deep technical expertise in estimation and nonlinear optimization.
• Proficiency in 3D geometry, SLAM, and SfM techniques.
• Experience writing performant C++ software.
• Hands-on sensor calibration with cameras and IMUs.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement real-time localization, ego-motion tracking, and state estimation using multi-modal sensor data.
• Build and maintain scalable offline pose-tracking pipelines from large-scale training data.
• Develop and optimize multi-sensor calibration systems for humanoid robotics and data collection platforms.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to build evaluation and testing frameworks.
• Design, engineer, and deploy reliable software solutions for robotics applications.
